Paid antivirus - Kaspersky...best antivirus out there
Free antivirus - Avast or AVG...both are pretty good for free software

For spyware I use both Spybot and Ad-Aware...both free.

I have used Avast for awhile now with Zone alarm. These days you need a good firewall and a proxy servers is also not a bad idea either like Ghost surf.

I use Zone Alarm Security Suite. Fairly small compared to Norton's and they have it all: anti virus, firewall, spam filtering, automatic updates, and will do a scheduled full disk scan when you set the day/time.

Good Product Mibby!

#1 antivirus software in the market is McAfee, hands down! It offers a variety of protection and, from what I've seen, the only software that offers removal of the malware/virus/adware. The others only offer to quarantine it.

For further protection I use Webroot's Spysweeper. Pretty solid program, runs in the back ground virtually un-noticed. This is primarily for adware and most malware agents.

If you pay for Spysweeper it'll delete files.

AVG isn't free any more.

McAfee is crap. Read the reviews and tests. (I've used it and agree.)

Ad Aware
SpyBot

NOD32 Antivirus
