Anybody have any spark plugs back out and strip ?? happened to me last week , there were two more about ready to come loose also , engine has 25,000 on it......
Heard of it happening more often than I'd like to hear on the 2 valve motors mainly in the trucks, but if they weren't tight, I could see it happening on the 4 V or any other engine.
How did you repair it? Threaded insert?

They make a tool u insert into the plug hole...like a wall moly....insert in plug hole and expand and back thread the hole from the inside out...it pulls the metal shavings out the top....i believe they make it as a thread chacer and heli-coil insert type tool for 14mm/16mm/18mm plugs aluminum heads only

he said he lock tighted it in ... he's calimed to have done over 50 in the trucks ... he had the special tool for the mod motors ... its just my luck ! we think maybe a shaving got itself stuck on an exhaust valve seat and now the valves not seating . becuase its a slight miss on the exhaust side.... if it was a 5.0 id have had the heads off and on in 3 or 4 hours, but i've never been into a mod motor... should be interesting , theres a first time for everything

I had this happen last summer...the passanger side SPIT out the plug. It split the Coil Cover in half :thud: too. Ford replaced the whole head and even put in different plugs. They said Ford reccomends this new different sized plug due to them spitting out.
Runs fine now though :allhail:
