Hi Everybody!

I just hit 225 miles and heard a 'moan' from the rear end. Weather was cold/rainy today, in the 40's. The Mach had been parked for approx 5 hours since last driven (yes, I took it 'out to lunch') and the rain had stopped earlier in the afternoon.

I experienced a similar intermittent 'moan' from the rear end of my '02 GT when backing out of the garage in the morning, but NEVER going forward. The Mach did it when I put it in 1st gear and began to slowly move forward, at less than 5 MPH.

Has Ford got a TSB on this yet - or any type of definitive fix for the problem?

So far, this has been the only problem I have experienced.

Thanks For Your Help,

Stonespony

I have just over 6500 miles on my Mach. aboute last feburary I started to get a moan when I would turn from a stop. the dealer dismissed it as a lubrcation problem changed gear oil and sent me on my way. the noise was still there and a month later the moan turned to a Grinding. the dealer then reinspected and found the Ring gear out of Spec. dealer rebuilt Differential. the noise went away And i was happy again. last Monday i went out to the car and found a puddle of gear oil under the car:rant: i took the car back to New Braunfels and found the pinion seal was blown. The Service Mgr gives me a loaner and later calls back Ford is sending a complete rear assembly for the Mach. If any more problems my next one will be Black.
