I toop my 2003 Mach 1 into the local Ford dealer for a 4 wheel alignment. He said my camber was out. He relocated the top of the shock struts outboard about 1/2 inch. He had to redrill new mount holes in order to correct the camber. Does this sound normal? Does he sound like he knew what he was doing?

Is your mach modded or has bigger tires???? if not, did you go over a curb?? If not then something does not sound right at all. To make a 1/2" adjustment does not seem right.

well seeing as how the stock plates don't offer really any adjustment...drilling out the old rivets and putting new holes in sounds right if your alignment was severly off.

FWIW, there really isn't any adj. for the rears.

I checked with Ford and they tell me this method of adjustment was correct

a local place tried telling me also that I would need a 4-wheel alignment.I thought the same thing",rear wheel drive with upper and lower control arms, there is no adjustment.if its outa wack, then your frame is twisted(dogtracking).how can you re-align when there are no places for adjustment?lol

I guess its good to know that. My Ford dealer told me that he could'nt align mine 'cause the tires are too big for his alignment machine......

FWIW, I had mine aligned with stock C/C while running 17x10.5 rears and 17x9 fronts...they just had to drill out the stock rivets and reposition the plates.

I have a dif. set-up now though :hehe:
