Does anybody else have problems with FedEx or is it just me? I do quite a bit of online buying for a small business that I run out of my home (just some side work) and most packages arrive via UPS or USPS. I have even had a couple that were delivered by Airborne Express. Every once in a while I'll have a late delivery from UPS, but it's only a day or two and since they handle the biggest majority of my packages an occasional mistake is understandable. With FedEx, the exact opposite is true. Of the 10 packages in the last 2 years (I just went through my records this morning) only 1 has been delivered on time and without problems, which just so happens to have been about 2 weeks ago. The most recent problem package was supposedly delivered last night (a Saturday ) at 9:20PM. I don't believe that I had tossed that many cold ones back while watching the NASCAR race that I would not have heard the doorbell or a knock on the door (and he didn't disturb my dogs who bark at every car they hear turn around in the cul-de-sac), but somehow the driver left the package at my front door and it disappeared before I went to get my Sunday paper at 8AM. The one before that was last winter and 3 drivers swore that my address didn't exist even though my house was built in 1985, I have been living here since 1997, and I have had several deliveries before then. I can go through several more similar to those displaying the incompetence shown by my local FedEx distribution center, but it gets too repetitive and I think you see my point. The fact that I always get my package after fighting with them for a week or sometimes longer doesn't help either.

Does anybody else have repeated problems with a particular shipper? Anyway, I guess I'm going to have to stop doing business with companies that only ship FedEx.

I like Fedex and use it often its cheaper and fast for me with no mistakes so far. UPS and USP have made several mistakes with me.

i had problems with fedex b4 as well. when i ordered my MRT H-pipe from MRT they had is shipped straight from the JBA factory in San Diego. it should have taken 2 days to get to me but was "miss" routed and took an extra 3 days to get it to me. i also ordered the bullett pedals that came FEDEX and they delivered them to the wrong address and took them 2 weeks to find and correct the mistake

I have had some aggravation with FedEx before, but only occasionally with packages shipped to my house. My business experience with them has been more troublesome, though. The local driver insists on coming to my office to deliver blueprints, which require a signature, only after closing hours. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries to get a set of prints delivered. Overall, I get much better service with UPS, but other people have different experiences with different services.

Never had any issues or concern with FED-EX or UPS, as a matter of fact they like to gander at my car. Seems to be the same guy who delivers all the time to me, so if there is a screw up on my address he calls me to verify if it is for me, now this is FED-EX.
Hell he is here so much, I feel like he is part of my family, lol! I am sure he feels the same way, hell we have even tossed a beer together.

Just to continue my frustrations:

After a couple of very frustrating phone conversations yesterday with some first line customer support people, I was able to talk to a good supervisor who could actually explain things. Evidently FedEx has started using a dedicated "Residential" delivery system to better suit their customers. Under this system, the whole FedEx shipping system is only open from Tuesday to Saturday...meaning there were no employees or management who would know anything about my package available yesterday. The supervisor did call me this morning to tell me that she contacted the distribution center and that the driver thought she knew where my package was and would have it at my front door by the time I got home this afternoon.

With all of my troubles with FedEx, I do have to complement the actions of the supervisor. Most people would not have taken the time to return a call to update a customer with a problem. I just hope that my package is still where the driver left it after being there for 2 days.

Yes I've had issues with FedEx.
I ordered some computer parts once when I lived in an apartment building.
Even when I requested a signature upon delivery they just dropped it off in front of the apartment building, in a college town!
Long story short I never saw the package, obviously no signature, and some college kid got my parts.
I got my $ back from the company who then took it to FedEx from which I assume they got their $ back.
I like UPS. Better yet, deliver by hand.

It was 2 hours later than was promised, but the package got to me safe and sound. Even so, I'm not using FedEx anymore. More trouble than it's worth for me.
