So far I have not read about anyone putting the 5.0 crammer engine in a Mach or a 5.4. I am sure someone out there is getting ready to do and I would think someone is saving for that 14 grand crate engine by Ford racing. I also would like to see a moded Mach 1 hit the salt flats and hit 200 plus miles per hour and beat the Cobra's record. Only time will tell when all thes things will happen :bcl:

5.4 has been done. Not published in any magazines, but I've seen it.
What is a crammer engine?? Don't know that one.. Unless it just means one like mine that has enough mods crammed in so the hood didn't close properly.

But then it would not be a Mach 1 without the presence of the shaker now would it.

I suppose there are a fair number of early mach1 guys who'd take on that argument. Personally I'd like to see a fully functional shaker on this cammer induction system:

Info from Ford Crate Engine catalog: The 5.0L DOHC 4-valve "Cammer" engine is an upgraded variant of the 4.6L DOHC 4-valve n/a Cobra engine. Forged pistons, 11:1 compression, lots of Ford racing parts. Harness & engine computer available separately. Includes power steering pump, alternator & a/c compressor. >400 bhp and broad torque curve peaking at over 365 ft/lbs.
$15K price seems steep, and IMO not enough power for track-only use. But sounds like a nice street engine... except, read the fine print: "Not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled motor vehicles."

It's blue-printed for sure, but under the rules of the series they race, it's not modified much.

You have only made one mistake, you should have made "mistake" plural.
With that being said, Please MM, show us the way to spelling Damn Nation.
