I think I am too impatient sometimes. :D I want very much for this site to grow and also be used by the members, and it's only been around a very short time, yet new members keep trickling in.
I was thinking of turning it off a few days ago, because there's not a ton of activity yet, but building a site takes time, so I'll leave it up until it's time for the domain to expire, and if it's going well by then, I'll renew.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has found us so far and taken time to register. Remember to upload pix of your Mach so I can use them for a future "Mach of the Month"

I guess I just get bummed when I go to The Registry and see 100's of posts, but I need to keep perspective; they have been around for awhile and also got a lot of pub in MMFF. I have had some of my other work written up by Jeff Bauer, and the traffic explodes when that happens.
I remember years ago, when Stangnet got started by some links on The Corral, look at it now. We started a little site called CPONYGO about a year and a half ago, and that site has taken off pretty good.
There's room for everyone and it just takes time.

Thanks, and thanks for sticking by while we try to get it rolling here. The mach1forums.com is not that busy either, it just takes time.
It will grow. I just joined seeing info at thr registry about this site and I am sure others will follow.

the Reg. is an ok site but when you really get down to it and read it is the same guys saying the same things over and over

I just found it tonight and so far I really like what I see. I read alot over at the registry and at stangnet. The problem with alot of traffic is it's hard to read everything. This will get that way also. It will just take a little while. Wait and see.
Cool site man!

Good Luck with your site Greg. I have been a member of the Registry for around a year now ( though under a different name ) and wish you all the best. I'm sure you will have lots of folks like me who will visit and enjoy both sites. Just for fun, I'm going to remain annomous to see if anyone can figure out who I am either by my pics or by my posts.

Thanks again for the kind wishes folks...!
Darkhorse- was that pix taken up near Flagstaff perhaps? Awesome picture!

Good guess Greg. It sounds like you are somewhat familiar with my part of the country. Actually that picture was taken at the base of the Bradshaw Mountains which is about half way between Flagstaff and Phoenix. There is a road there that will take you to (too rough for a Mach1) Crown King at the top and a place called Horse Thief Basin. It is only paved for a mile or so with twists and turns that are a blast to drive on. All dirt after that.
Have you been there ??

I am a former resident of San Diego, and have driven I-17 between Flagstaff and Phoenix many times, it looked pretty familiar to me. I was in Phoenix this past January.
Great pix man!!

One of the good things about your site is I can upload bigger pics and not as an attachment. I love taking pics of the car and anything else for that matter. The photo gallery is very easy to navigate with lots of user space too.
I'll leave with you one more pic to maybe make you homesick for San Diego.

Thanks for the props on the photo gallery. I have tried to make this more than just another forum.
Let's see... is that Mission Bay?
FYI: If you want to display pix from your gallery in a forum post, it is very easy to do- you just have to view the properties of the image you wish to use, and typically the url will have extra characters in front of the file extension like so:
http://www.mach-1.org/photopost/data/1/1DSC03469-med.JPG?8581
Simply omit any characters after the G in JPG, like this:
http://www.mach-1.org/photopost/data/1/1DSC03469-med.JPG
Then frame it with the and [ /img] tags (sans spaces) and it will display, like this:
[img]http://www.mach-1.org/photopost/data/1/1DSC03469-med.JPG

Hi Greg,
I take you're the webmaster at SVTOA, this is Mike Glados, director of the Western New York Chapter. I got my mach a month ago. I picked up on this site from the Registry, someone posted a link to it, I just registered yesterday. I haven't really cruised this site yet, just started to check out the forum. I like what I see and just wanted to say thanks for taking the time and starting this website. This is certainly an excellant website and your effort really shows... GREAT WORK GREG!
Here's a picture of my mach:

Glad I ran into this site. So far what I have read is a lot more down to earth than some other websites. I think things will grow with time. I've been looking for a site that has a little more info that isnt mis-leading as other sites. Not to mention people that arent scared to put a power-adder on their car which so far I have seen that some have bottles here and a few guys that apparently are running pretty good with their cars.

And thanks for hosting this board! I'm a happy Mach owner - just got it a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with it. I look forward to being on this board.

I think you have the beginnings of a great site. I like the abilty to upload bigger pictures. There are probably alot of guys out there like me who just got their Machs and haven't found you yet. I just got my Mach Wednesday and haven't had a chance to poke around on the 'net until today. Keep up the good work.
Hi again H1RESQ!
He and I both traded our Bullitts for Machs recently.

Thanks for the input. Googlebots have been spydering this site lately, maybe we're starting to show up in the index now.
As far as image storage and such, we don't have many members and bandwidth is not a problem right now. If we ever were to get to the point where we have thousands of members, then it would become problematic. At this time however, feel free to use our server space to host your Mach-1 pictures.

This is my first post and I would like to say this a nice site that I followed from registry link! But you have to remember the registry was the only source in the begining to find info on ordering......
this site is for people who can now enjoy the Mach 1 Mustang and I will now check it out just as much as the Registry!
Just wait...........it is a very nice site!!!
