I know it's not the Mach 1, but here's a video for anyone that's interested of my old Thunderbird the first night out with the new GO FAST goodies. I just uploaded it back to the server and thought some of you might be interested. I also have a version with no music if anyone is interested in that. Not for the bandwidth impared, the file is 33meg, and I have it set as a ZIP file to make for a easier download. Enjoy! :shft

No zip files please. Link to the videos and we trust none of this is on a public road either, right?

The link is now up as an .AVI file for those that would like to download it. This video is of the first night AT THE TRACK with the Bird. I know there are some idiots out there but I do not race anything on the streets, especially an 11 second 4000# vehicle. I am in the process of updating my page so if you would like info. on the engine you can click the link to Modular Performance below. I purchased several engine components from Mike Tymensky when building the engine and aloud him to post the buildup on his page. When I get the information back up on my page I will post a link then.

Nice runs! I happen to notice the closing comment about running with ponies when you can fly with a bird. Also noticed that your engine is from a 99 Pony. Must be a pony with wings...???

Yeah the comments at the end were because of an ongoing war between me and a few Stang guys. The 99 Stang engine was as much of a Ford piece as the rest of the car once I got done with it. The block and the heads were really the only thing used off the 99 core engine. All the guts in the heads and block were replaced. Once I was done with the Bird the only stock part of the car was the Unibody and doors everything else was replaced with some sort of aftermarket or custom piece from the interior to the suspension. She'd still be sitting in the garage if it weren't for the Ex.

Any time slips on that ole bird? I had a 99 Bird as well with the 5.0 engine. Started falling apart on me though. From there i had 2 other cars but missed that Ford power. That is what brought me to the Mach 1. A Ford is a Ford is a Ford!!!!

I had a '95 TBird as well. We got it into the low 13s, but I had to get rid of it a few years ago to keep my house. It was a work in progress...we had cut the IRS out and swapped in a 9", '99 PI heads, Bullitt intake. I had plans for that car, just a shame the guy that I sold it to totalled it a few months later :(

Nope, the 12.31 @ 116 was the best I could muster up that night, but the timeslip met a can of Mountain Dew that night before I could get it home and scan it. I've got some other time slips around here someplace that I'll scan and post if you would like. The best 60' time was 1.90 on crappy bald Goodyears, I was blowin them off the line on every launch, no way could I even attempt to utilize the 4000 stall converter. Shortly after these videos I started through a very bad divorce with the Ex and sold her (the bird) to a good friend in Arizona who has really ruined the car. She's now back to NA form and barely running a 13 second 1/4 mile which was douable in modified stock form. I had the opportunity to buy her back but decided to do the route of the Mach 1 instead. Here's a dyno sheet scan.

Jason, thanks for the good attitude regarding my comments. Not trying to hassle you or keep you from posting about your 'Bird, I just don't want street racing videos posted here, that's all. Nice car BTW. :D

2003 Mach, no problem. I was actually quiet impressed with the kindness of the comments. On a lot of the forums I moderate I usually come across with a comment of "listen you F$&kin Newbie, do it again and I'll ban you" :lmao:

Not really a surpirse once I got to the line. I ran 2.5" mandrel bent straight pipes that dumped at the differential, the thing sounded like a NASCAR when you got on it. I'll post some exhaust videos tonight when I get home.

The night of the races in the video, my first race was against that Mustang that you saw. He had me by about 8 or 9 car lengths but I caught traction and caught him at half track and won. By the time I got to the end of the track and drove through to get my time slip there was a huge group of folks standing there waiting for me to see what I had in it. That wa a pretty gratifying (sp?) experience.
