I have a 2000 Mustang GT 5 Speed and am planning to get the Ford Racing Parts 2000 Cobra Engine and Trans assembly from Diversified Products. From them it's 5700 including shipping. It is supposed to come complete with the FEAD and belt, hoses, 11" clutch complete front to back, top to bottom, including cats! From what I can tell this should bolt on to a Mach 1 Factory cat back exhaust. I plan on using the Ford Motorsport headers before I drop it in.
It is also supposed to come with the EEC-5 PCm, intake hoses and MAF.
I have a friend who has been doing EEC for years and is quite good, and he's going to get the PATS issues, etc. worked out.I have no intention of making this thing loud or installing a blower, or anything like that.
I MAY eventually go to a T-56 trans though.
Questions:
What fuel pump do you guys recommend?
I am wanting to install it from the bottom, like the factory. What do you think?
I intend on installing the KarKraft Shaker kit also with a factory Mach hood.
Opinions? Be brutal.
Thanks.

Sounds like you have a good plan....BUT..why not sell the GT and just buy a Mach 1...there are several that I have seen...pretty decent pricing too...grab them before they start to rise in price...then you'd have a genuine mach 1...and not a clone...IMHO...

Good point.
Well, half the fun, to me, is building it, mixing and matching factory parts and having the car virtually invisible to unsuspecting off-brand cars. (GM, etc) I don't think I have ever had a car (all Fords) that I didn't do a powertrain swap to it.
So far my best was the 5.0 4V 5 speed 87 Tbird, Kaufman TFS heads, etc.
That was done before the whole 5.0 Mustang thing took off.
No one suspected a thing til it was way too late. Haa haa.
Besides, the car is paid for.

I did consider a 5.4 swap, but the front end weight, exhaust clearance and other issues shied me away from it.
I have found out that the FRPP kit comes with EVERYTHING, including the instrument cluster, fuel pump, etc.
And an aluminum block to boot!! Nearly done researching things then its time to actually do it.
Would the PHP intake spacer work on the N/A Cobra Intake? My research says yes, but you guys and gals know the 32V better than I do.
