as u can see i really dont post much i mainly read and listen but now im haveng a tough decision on which midpipe to get. first of all i already have the borla stinger catback which i took off my GT and that car had longtubes w/ and o/r dr. gas xpipe. but now since i got the mach i want to keep the stock manifolds on and still use the stinger catback, i am leaning towars a basanni x with the interchangable cats, another dr. gas o/r x pipe, a magnaflow x, and people are tellin me to get the mrt. what kind of info can u guys give me to help make a decision. thanks alot

The bassani is a great setup if you want to be able to change out the cats. If you are just going to get an offroad X i would get the UPR. Its only $149, bang for the buck its hard to beat. I have the SLP X with cats and flowtubes. It makes great power, but hangs to low.
my basani hangs low also, and i had a hard time keeping the cats from leaking, so i just welded them in. check tachs mach1review, i remember he got some great results using the stingers and a magnaflow, or something like it.

Jay, I personally run the magnaflow catted x with the magnapacks, which are similar to the Borla stingers you are using now.
I'm a big fan of magnaflow for a few reasons. The first is that they are an all stainless steel product and they won't rust over time like flowmaster or prochamber. The fit and finish is excellent and it bolted right up to the stock manifolds. The cats they use are great and they've never set off the SES light which seems to be a problem with other brands of cats. Price wise, magnaflow is a bit cheaper than Bassani too. While Bassani makes a great product too, their prices are unbelievable, and in my opinion you're paying extra money for that distinct Bassani sound.
Are you after a certain sound? The MRT H will give you that classic, deep rumble, which is common with H-pipes. The x-pipes will give you more of a raspy, high pitched sound....sort of an exotic sound. It's all a matter of opinion really. When paired with a good catback such as your stingers, the x/catback combo will still have some rumble to them and it really screams when you get on it.
Last but not least, I would stay with a catted midpipe. Offroad pipes smell really bad, not to mention you're just adding that much more pollution to the air around you. With a catted pipe, you can still get a killer sound, added H.P/TQ and you do your part to help keep the air clean.

 My thoughts exactly. I have the SLP cat back and am thinking of getting the MRT H pipe. I like the deep H rumble better than the exotic X sounds. I'd be interested in hearing opinions on the MRT catted H from those who have one on.

Check your email. I sent you a clip of some other members Mach with the MRT H and the SLP Loudmouth cat back. It's 4MB, so I hope you're not on dial up!
Do a search on this board or over at the reg, you will find plenty of clips of all different combos.

Check out Borla I love mine and the sound is what I remeber from my old muscle car days. I like kooks headers but I am still conflicted as to go with headers. I have heard a Mach with Slp's and a X pipe and it sounds like Nascar with a raspy sound.
