I was out cruising The Mach last night until the wee hours, and it was in the lower 40's at one point. The Mach loves the cold fall air.
I could feel a difference in how the car ran. The ram-air effect is not supposed to be a factor until you reach fairly high vehicle speeds, (as opposed to hi RPM) but it seems to help as far as supplying cooler air to the motor, even at lower vehicle speed. I want to go to the track one more time before winter sets in, and see if I can better my kinda so-so 13.60's.
Sigh... Coldest air since last spring. The trees are just starting to turn, and you know that that first freeze and those first flakes of the season are not far away.... You guys who live where it's warm all year don't know how good you have it. Nothing worse than making a car payment on a car that's hibernating... :(
