Well ordered my ATI Pro charger today :bna
It just so happens that the place im getting it from is doing free installs too, as long as you order from them :bna

But 1 thing, They say No need for fuel pump ???? This scares me, How big are our pumps. I had to get injectors with it but was sure it would need new pump.

I agree, I don't think our pumps can keep up with the volume of fuel necessary for forced induction. You don't want to go lean, unless of course they agree to buy you a new engine.

My Procharger came with a 255lph pump, which it wasnt suppose to, so we didnt put it in, to make it a short story, the pump is in the car now, so I would get a new pump and install when you do the Supercharger.

Thats what im thinking
But even the place Im getting it installed says no pump needed..its just.....just weird that it wouldnt need one....Kb kit makes less power and comes with a Boost a pump.

So no one knows what size ours are ?

I dont know what size our stock pump is, but im sure it wasnt designed to support over 400rwhp. I would go with the cobra pump, factory pumps are more reliable than aftermarket ones. An inline pump like the KB pump works, but isnt a good idea. It makes it hard to diagnose any problems you might encounter down the line. With a dual pump system if one pump goes out the other is trying to suck through the bad pump. The car will run normal without any hint of a bad pump until you hit WOT and it cannot support the needed fuel. Your car will run lean, and if you are unlucky boom.

Free install..That's way kewl..Doe's that include dyno and tuning???
If ya feel better about it, then go with the cobra pumps (plural)....It's only 300-400 dollars depending on your shop. If ya want to go even better. Keep the dual pump assembly, and go for the Focus pumps. Better quality and efficiency. :bna ..The focus pumps add about 120-180 each... Oh..the list can just go on,and on, and on, and on :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
You're gonna love it though

With injectors and pump like 4300 wich is higher than What I could find on the net. That 3800 sounds great but add shipping, Injectors, guages, and pump. Price is "OK" I dont mind paying more when getting free install.

And yes They have a dyno rite there, with tuning programs.

So a week or two its on like donkey kong :shft :spinem:

That is really a good price when you consider that the average shop charges well over $1000 to install. Not to mention the dyno and tune charge. Keep us posted when she gets up and running with some dyno numbers.

Boost A Pumps Work! They make small pumps work like big pumps when needed, and still have the advantages and benefit of stock pumps for non boosted use. So they are fine. I would prefer the "Boosted" stock pump over a 255. I've used Kenne Bell Boost A Pumps before. They work very well. Our stock pumps can take increased voltage with no problem for brief periods. You might wish to study this.

http://www.alternativeauto.com/waterbox/wb_archives/boostapump.html This article written more for the returnless fuel system cars of the past, but idea the same. In our cars, it's operation is controlled by the tune.

Would still probably prefer the Cobra or twin pump set up...with Cobra tank. But all that adds to cost. For mild low boost kits, Boost A Pumps are fine, and help keep the costs down. Boost A Pumps are even used to "juce up" twin pump set ups for hi HP applications in the 500 RWHP and up applications.

http://www.modularfords.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17337 You might wish to study this well if you are installing blower kit. Lots of misinformation and fairy tale folk lore about fuel systems.

If I were you I would go with a Aviator fuel pump. It will support your need and is way cheaper than the cobra set up. You can get the Aviator pump for less than $200, and the cobra set up I believe is between $500 - $600. I believe the aviator pump flow 277, but don't quote me on that or the prices. I'll see if I can find the link that I read all that on.

I agree Aviator pump good choice if buying pump. But kit comes with Boost A Pump, and I wanted to point out they work well, and no real need to purchase additional pump for stock kit....if if you just run stock kit.
Now if you're going to be upping the power in the future, might as well go ahead and install new pump now....IMHO.

BTW on past car, I ran 2 255's with BAP hooked to both.

What's working for me...Cobra fuelpump assembly (dual), Throw away the cobra pumps and put in focus pumps....all you'll need and more. They have 700+ hp cars running with that setup :shft And what the heck..it's only a few more $$$$

On the modularford website..ya can see what my blower looks like in the Mach1 section...Imach1 and F1 thread) tried to post the pic here..but it won't let me...
