Hey all. I've been trying to coordinate some more events for the convention and I came across this....
http://www.fastlaplv.com/
Indoor Kart racing with custom built racing carts that have 200cc Honda engines. Its about 25$ for 10 minute heats (25 laps) and up to 13 karts can race together at the same time. Would anyone be interested in that sometime during the weekend?
Let's get those opinions going!

Hey dirtboy cool! What do you do at Nellis? I'm a C-5 crew chief stationed at Travis AFB.
Are you coming to the convention?

i think we might have to find out how many millitary machs there are, we have 3 others here at nellis, i am going to print up a flyer and put it on there windows and see if they want to come, are there any others at your base??

I have a few up at Travis....but they are just cars to them, nothing special. The last thing they want to do is drive them and "put all those miles on them."

I think I could probably torture myself for a lap or two. Put me down for two.
I've got 1 silver-gray, a red, another blue and a black here on base. I've left contact information on there windshields, but have not heard from them. I even parked across from one of the Mach’s during a lunch break just to kind of let the guy know there are other Mach1's out there. But like 351 alluded to, they probably don't even know the car is special. :(

well it takes a special(handicapped) person to drive a special car, and then it takes a "special" person to drive a special car, but keep trying guys. i am excited as hell and cant wait to have you all in my backyard!! see ya soon!!

 "Exclusivity" is often overused, but the Mach 1 with it's relatively low build #'s make it a "special" car. I have the only blue one, there are a red and black driven by a husband & wife in town, in my area of about 65,000 people so it gets a lot of stares and closer looks especially at fuel stops with the hood up. They really pay attention when the big hole in the hood shows.
Hey cars were made to be driven, I use mine every day going to job sites and measuring homes for estimates, carry my steel toes and hard hat in the trunk. The young guys on the job sites are very curious. I just tell them it's my dads car :D .
