Hey guys, just wanted to say what a cool website you guys have, but even more what a great car the Mach is. I am an x-stang guy(91lx5.0, 94gt,95gt and 2 cobra's) and drawn to the dark side by the LS1. Even though I will not be re-converting I just wanted to say that I believe that the Mach has to be on of the most unique cars(and definately Mustangs) to come from detroit in a long time. Unfortunately overshadowed by the Terminator, the Mach 1 provides distictions in areas that none of the other Mustangs can match. If you want to see TRUE retro design, look no further than the Mach. What a perfect way to retain a fresh modern design and yet incoporate styling cues from the past. This is what retro styling is all about and I believe it showed in the sales success of the Mach. The interior is by far the most unique of the Mustang line-up, again very retro-modern. Power, N/A the Mach is leaps and bounds ahead of the GT and gives us stock and mildly modified LSx cars all we want. You can choose your transmission: Man. or Auto. Cant do that with the Terminator. Live axle rear-end again not an option on the Terminator.
I belive the Mach-1 represents the grassroots spirit of American Muscle better than any other Mustang on the Market. If I could afford 2 cars I would happily park a Mach beside my Z. God speed :allhail:

Thank you! I don't think I could bring myself to get rid of the Z but If I would hurry and pay it off then I could get that Mach. Anyone want to make a donation :hehe: I was at Fun-Ford Bristol over the weekend and there were several Mach's in attendence. More drag racing than showing  . Anyway, thanks again!

Grimreefer, my brother-in-law has an 03 Cobra, 95 Cobra, Blown fuelie 86 GT, **** Conv. and a couple more, I get slammed all the time, especially after I crossed over, so I have a lot of practice at kissing butt and swallowing my toungue in an effort to keep the peace. :D However, I'm not butt kissing here, just stating what I believe is fact. Also, remember I am an X-stanger, so you never really get that out of your blood.

Blazinspeed, I wish I could say so, but I (this is just my opinion) wish that Ford would not have gone the path they did when they re-designed the Mustang. They really did RE-design the Mustang. This is one of the very points I was making when speaking of specialness of the current Mach. This is the way a retro design should be carried out. Mixing the old with the new, not simply reshaping an old design. Let me say that I do believe that the new Mustang is a sharp car but to me it is so very similar to the original pony car that it will almost hurt the nostalgia of the original and after the car has sold a given amount of units and the "new" has worn off, I'm afraid people will be looking at a 40 plus year old car. Again the car is beautiful as it sits but I think something this close to the original was just a little to much for a mass production vehicle. OR, I could be completely wrong, and it may sell very very well. I mean what do I know, I drive a Chevy. One thing is for sure, if any car could pull it off ,the Mustang has proven that it can. OK, time to bash me!

GMCVT, one of the Gate Guards here at Ft. Benning, ribs me all the time about my Mach 1 (Like everyday) we ended up being pretty good friends in the long run. He owns the New Trans Am with the LT1 in it, she is one awesome looking ride. Doesn't matter what ya own as far as I am concerned, just as long as you own a piece of great "American Muscle Car" Heritage. Anybody else agree with me here. These cars just turn a grown man into a babbling idiot who cannot get enough Horsepower strapped to his ass. ROFLMAO!!
  and a whole lot more
"Keep on Mach'n"

Well,
I traded my LS1 (1999 Hardtop w/ enough mods to kick 430 HP) for a Mazda RX-8 (Don't ask, still drawing a blank there), then traded the RX-8 for a Mach1. Honestly I could have went for the Vette again, but I needed 4 seats, so in order to get the "Need for Speed" I crave, I bought the Mach1. Actually looked at the GTO, but had a bad experience with the salesman and the car didn't feel all that powerful. So I bought the Mach1 and have been happy ever since. Nothing like "chirping" the tires with the girlfriend and her two kids in the car. Well, Just wanted to say what I say. Have fun with the "Z".

GM I have seen the car and really like the way it looks. I was very concerned about the "too retor" look but I think they pulled it off. Either way I am waiting on a cobra to add to my stable. I don't know why a lot of cars can't accept both cars for what they are. My dad recently got a vette but I have three mustangs and love them. I might add a vette later on to go with the cobra when it goes back to flip up headlights. I hate the new headlights but its still a great car. :shft
