Front end creak=P/S rack bushings

Took the car in for a front end creak when turning the steering wheel at a stand still.The dealership found the rack bushing nuts under torqued and they greased up the bushings all is well :thumbs:

ahhh don't worry about it steering is over rated :D

I had mine done about a month ago and lubed as well. It's back again so another trip to the dealer.

Mine just started this morning - sounds like an old wooden wheel or something. Is there a TSB on this ?

was there a tsb on this and how was ford able to greese the bushings i was under mine today and saw no greese fittings, actually i have not seen ford use greese fittings since the early 70's.

here's my service write-up from when I got my car back...I'm not joking about the spelling!!!


squeck from rack when turning w94 frmove steering rack bushings and inspected found nothing wrong with them, cleaned them and reinstalle int rack and retourked tham noise is gone now


Apparently spelling is not Job 1 at Ford. ;)

if they pull them, will tell them to replace with ones that have greese fittings... oh dam, i'll just bring it to my front end guy. ford can't do a alignment to save thier lives anyway. FORD quality is job NONE!!!
