This is the last weekend of the racing season until next April... :(
And it looks like rain... In a very short time it will be the Mach to bed for the long, cold winter. Nothing like making payments on a parked car.

Pssttt ... If you move south, you don't have to deal with that nasty snow and ice much, and you don't have to leave your babies parked near as long ;)

It's a bummer for sure, in the days when I lived in Ohio, they closed my local track down in October and didn't open until May! Then I moved south and was 5 miles from a track that didn't close until mid December and opened back up in March! It was great, then it also got to where it seemed like forever while it was closed. I got a Job in North Florida 7 years ago and thought it was great to be able to move here and found the closet Drag strip to be 90 miles away and it's an 1/8 miler. The closest 1/4 mile is 3 1/2 hours away now! Geez, you'd think with the weather of Florida there would be a track in every town! :shft

Living in south Texas means driving the Mach pretty much year round. (last measurable snow was 93) The winters are usally pretty mellow some freezing weather but usually only a few days spread through out Dec - Feb mostly. Currently the Mach is the only car so I drive it daily. Have plans for a daily driver after the new year so the Mach can sleep on bad weather days.

I don't mean to brag but, the tracks out here only close for holidays. On the downside we have to put up with dumb politicians who can't count:p

I am a former resident of Los Angeles and San Diego... :(
Used to race at Carlsbad every Saturday. And always heard talk about how the land was being sold and a new stucco and chicken wire condo development was going to take the place of the dragstrip. That was oh, 18 years ago...
