32803 which is central FL..thats really rotten man.... Im still tryin to get somebody to cosign a loan for me since I have absolutely no credit at 21...the obsession with this car is causing me to lose sleep already.....I should qualify for recent college grad $400 too! Gotta ask them about the $750 armed forces deal, says transferable within a household..not sure if that will work for me or not though

already checked..probably gonna put it in moms name to afford insurance..insurance is only 320 a year more than my explorer.. 1200 a yr isnt bad for having high coverage and low deductables (like $200). That was the first thing I checked out :shft

im gettin the loan through my bank, not ford so I can get the rebates...not sure on the whole put it moms name bit.

Well, balance out the two choices- If you plan to pay off the car by making all the individual payments, the low finance rate would be the way to go. If you plan to pay the car off early, then the rebate is the way to go. Are you going to be able to get 2.9% from your bank???

As far as putting the car in your mom's name- your insurance company must do things differenty. I have a 15 year old son, my agent has notified me that once he becomes a licensed driver, my rates are going to balloon. I told her that he is not going to be driving my sports cars, but she said no matter; if he's a licensed driver and is in the household, then they adjust the rates on the Muscle cars accordingly..

Hope this works out for you. It would be pretty cool to be as young as you are and be able to enjoy such a nice car!

I plan to pay the car off pretty early, I HATE owing money. Also Id be goin through Navy Federal, which has pretty low interest rates.

The insurance probably would have gone up like crazy if I got a stang when I was 16..I think my Explorer was somethin like 1600 a year back then. Basically with it tiltled in moms name and me on her insurance, I somewhat avoid the whole male under 25 price jack. Also we get multi car discounts, discount for havin the house with them, good student, safe driver and all that jazz. When I called for an estimate I said I wanted the policy left exactly like it was, some coverages and all, just replace the explorer with an 03 Mach 1 and it came out to around 320/yr.

Thanks for pointing all this stuff out though, I know alot of people dont look into the extra things.
