I believe that would refer to them calling me and asking me what I thought about the paint quality? Perhaps they mean "CLOSED" as in the customer did not report a problem??

Yes we do...! We're kind of operating in the shadows of the big site, what can you do? It takes time to get going, but in time hopefully things will grow.

We'll leave the site up and see what happens.

It was a demo when I bought it. I guess someone had purchased it in April and somehow had the car for 2 months and then did not get financed??? Not sure how that happens. When I got it , it had a Steeda shifter, K&N and window tint. I got it for a great price so I'm happy. I will go to the dealer and ask about the repaint. Not sure how that works (since they didn't disclose it).

Just got back from the dealer. The dealership repainted the hood because it was peeling and the fender was alittle misaligned. No big deal. They did a great job. If I planned on keeping the car for 20 years I guess I would be a little pissed off since it had been repainted but I usually trade every year or so.:shft

You know, thats kinda the conclusion I've come to. Yeah, painting it will ruin the "collectors" value ... but I'm not a collector, and will probably trade in 4-5 years anyways. So I'm thinking maybe a custom paint job ... LOL

Mine too! Either they were all rested from the weekend (highly doubt it) or recovering from the weekend parties!!!LOL

Hi Donna,

This long weekend was almost a complete bust for me as far as the fun stuff, but it was much better than being sick. I did pick up my Mach on Friday, to basically just drive it back home and a couple of times around the neighorhood. Since I was in such a hurry to get it out of the dealership, I didn't ask too many questions, so if you get a chance to check the Oasis when your in there doing something else, I'd still be interested as to what was entered for the warranty.

Its not trouble. What an Oasis is shows the engine/tranny etc info on your car. It gives the build date, warranty start date, and any warranty repairs performed on your car. All I need is the 17 digit VIN number :)

Also, was your acid rain paint visible to the naked eye in daylight or only under the flourescent light? I ask because this VIN looks close to the VIN of the person you told to check his paint.

Going by the build date ... if you are interested in buying it ... you ask them to pull it in a garage, or service bay, somewhere you can look at it under the fluorescents. You rarely can see the acid rain outside, except in very rare instances when the sun is angled right. Be safe, pull it inside. I've seen too many June born dates that have acid rain issues.

Funny thing is, That they only replaced the Cylinder head once they realized that they couldn't shut me up. Thanks to the registry, and now Mach-1.Org, I was able to show up with a stack of paperwork 2 inches thick regarding the "Ticking" issue. I made them introduce me to the mechanic (Certified SVT) Gave him a 200$ tip to take care of my car (Said DO NOT let some kid fresh out of high school drive this car), And it's been great ever since !!

Yes, I think that is a great warranty. You should be well covered with it. As for them telling you about the repairs, I think (if I remember right) if the repair is under $500 they have the option to not disclose the info if they so choose.

What I found wierd is that they are telling that they removed the engine to check the ticking noise, THAT IS NOT TRUE! They didn't remove it. But, maybe they wrote that on the service job to charge more $$$ to Ford Motor Co.
