I think I'm gonna try for a few more runs on Friday night, that way when the white stuff lands and the Mach is tucked away, I will have a few more memories...I just hope they are a few more good memries:D
I think this time I will bring the family along as they have been anxious to see what the heck Dad is doing at GLD.
What is the entry fee for children on Fri. nights?
TIA,

I'll send some of the heat wave from out here.
Last 4 days in the high 90's, even broke a record the other day 100 in October!

Alex, passengers have to wear a helmet and you have to keep it above 13.99. Weather tomorrow looks kinda crappy BTW.
James... go ahead, rub it in... :(

Greg,
Yeah, bummed about the weather :( , but on Saturday I'm doing the airgun thing and Sunday it's supposed to be highs in the 40's only. Maybe Sunday will be good with the colder temps, but doesn't that also kill the street tire sticking situation?
I'll call the track to see what the scoop is for tonight...I assume it's closed if raining?

I am the one who updates the track website. If we are closed, I will post it on the main page.
You can reach me at 414-397-2323 also....
Cold weather is good! I am not hitting my tires hard, I am granny-launching to 2.1's. Imagine the 40 degree air getting rammed into the motor...! :D

:bna Stop getting me excited, the track won't open till 6:00...
It still looks pretty good out there, so I'm hoping for the best for tonight.
"granny-launching to 2.1's. " ...that was my plan for tonight as I know I was still spinning pretty bad on Tuesday, although 50% of my launches were 2.1s.
The other thing I want to try tonight is just two shifts, which I read you posted on one of the other sites...I had been using fourth gear as well...but on the best run, I sort of blew fourth and ended up with the best ET. My 13.6 came with a crappy .967R/T and only a 99.6 MPH....all my other speeds were between 100.8-102 and most of my R/T's were .6s & .7s...
I'm keeping a bit of a log just like you recommended, but now I just got to figure what all needs to be marked down.
Thanks again!

You're welcome Alex.
FYI- reaction time has no effect on ET, it gives you an advantage over your opponent in a heads-up or bracket race.
It is getting very cloudy up here, I am on call with GLD and they will let me know if we will open or not tonight. As soon as I know something concrete, I'll let you know.
As of 2:40 PM, it looks not so good, here comes the rain:

:( Doesn't look good at all...Sunday it will have to be.
R/T doesn't effect total time, I understand now. So the timer only starts when I go through the second stage lights with the back of my front wheel? Red light comes on if I went through it in less than .500? Is that right? So the 60' time is based on actual time traveled through the 60' length no matter what the R/T...that makes some more sense now, since that was the pass that I had at 2.0.
One other funny thing I noticed was that my R/T times seem to be somewhat related to my lane partners. That is, when their R/T is high so is mine...does that mean I paying more attention to them then the tree...without realizing it....I have a long way to go, don't I:confused: ?

No, not really.
Tip: I tune the other guy out totally. What he does is not my concern, and since I usually leave first anyway, he (or she) pays more attention to me most likely. :D
Timer does not start until you break the beam once staged, correct.
